Teachings of my Spiritual Master
Lord Krishna describes the nature of mahatmas in Bhagavad Gita verse 9.13 as follows.
mahaatmaanas tu maam paartha / daivim prakrtim aashritaah
bhajanty ananya-manaso / jnaatvaa bhutaadim avyayam
“O son of Prthaa, those who are not deluded, the great souls, are under the protection of the divine nature. They are fully engaged in devotional service because they know Me as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, original and inexhaustible.“
As stated by Srila Prabhupada “The first sign of the mahaatma is that he is already situated in the divine nature. He is not under the control of material nature. One can become free from the control of material nature as soon as he surrenders his soul to the Supreme Personality of Godhead..They are always engaged in the unswerving service of the Lord in Krishna consciousness“.
The process of self-realization and the path home, back to Godhead, means surrendering to the bonafide spiritual master and taking the dust of his lotus feet on one’s head. Thus one advances on the path of transcendental realization. I seek the blessings of my revered spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj, who exhibits all the good qualities of a Mahatma, and whose teachings are the foundation of our spiritual existence. Since Gurudeva, is always situated with Krishna, whatever he speaks is Krishna Himself. Just penned down some of His instructions which His Divine grace always stresses upon.
Never blame, never greed, never criticize, never hurt
Is what Krishna likes, and that is all, in Your heart.
Your love for Bhagavatam, is so much we admire
Being sincere is Your keyword for devotional aspire….
You teach us to be austere,
You teach us to be united.
Your mission is sincere sadhanaSpiritual discipline, such as chanting mantras, observing vows, etc.,
And take us near to Krishna’s aradhana.
You scold us when we are wrong.
You test us if we are right,
You put us back in order
When we are out of Krishna’s border.
We need your special mercy, forever and ever
Please take us from this dual world, forever and ever.
We beg your pardon, for offences we did,
Just wanted to be sure, we don’t do any sinful deed.
Tolerance is the first step to get Your special favour
While simplicity is deeprooted and You don’t have to endeavour.
You left for Goloka VrindavanaAn important holy town close to MathuraAn ancient town and the birthplace of Krishna. It is one of the seven ancient cities of India. and the place of Krishna's childhood and youth. cause Krishna wanted you there
But down here, we are waiting, so that you can get us there.
You remind us forever-
Don’t get stuck in material fervor
Do the duties perfectly
And remember Krishna always submissively.
I seek mercy of Shri Krishna and Srila Gurudeva so that I follow the instructions of my spiritual master and get out of this burning world.
Thank you very much.
Yours in the service of Srila Prabhupada and Gurudeva,
